You see it everyday, but you don’t do it all the time. I love this word: SMILE. A smile is a magical thing. It is innate and the one thing that proves to us that we are born good. Recall the innocent smile of your first born; the triumphant smile that accompanied her Monash admission; and the cute smile that she gave even in her moments of stress.

Even adults see glimpses of this magic and strangely, can be surprised by it. A smile can have the effect of bringing two squabbling adults to a halt, realizing the ridiculousness of what they were fighting about. A smile can be like a contract of commitment such as when a woman accepts a marriage proposal.

For the many things good and pure that it brings, every smile captures a story. Nothing beats the fascination of us looking back at them—we laugh at our childish past, and tear at our touching moments. So, what are you waiting for?

When there with cell group yesterday, 

and the end of my birthday week. again. thank you everyone that was one way or the other contributing to make it my happiest week! I'm really grateful for you guys in my life.

Today went curve for my last birthday lunch with steve and cherngyu! You guys never changed a bit can.

Went for lunch at The Apartments, half of the words used to describe their food on the menu I didnt understand so I just picked the roasted duck with steve since I'm having lamb tonight (mom's marinating now :P) and C.YO got the lamb shank.

Lastly, this one must outline cause this is MY BEST BIRTHDAY PRESENT EVER, despite the ugliness and all, its the sweetest and its by my darling homey lim chern wei. He took all the effort of writing sweet rubbish messages on a whole roll of toilet paper (with water prove ink and did not tear a single piece of paper off) and its for me to cry on when im sad. thank you homey, I'll top that by your birthday! And he also risk getting fined by smuggling 3 bottles of bacardi for me from singapore! you rock home!

I have green fingers, the rose I gave my mom was almost dying but I managed to keep it alive with a half a month old bottle of water and half an aspirin. It works. Its now healthy alive and BLOOMING (:

Of love and luck, I guess I'm reall grateful to have both especially LOVE overflowing. Debate today was really fun, sorry chair for being "disrespectful" tho :P After PCL ended up camwhoring.

And also I received my bestest presents ever! from evonne(i love it i love it i love it) and jan (your drawings super pretty and next time I'll write a kids book and you can be my illustrator kay?) They were seriously WONDERFUL!

PM today was great, really acted as a reminder that friends are always there and you'll never walk alone. Also the video was also really something awesome. Go youtube seach "lifehouse's everything skit", its worth the watch.

When undercover investigators made their way onto Chinese fur farms recently, they found that many animals are still alive and struggling desperately when workers flip them onto their backs or hang them up by their legs or tails to skin them. When workers on these farms begin to cut the skin and fur from an animal's leg, the free limbs kick and writhe. Workers stomp on the necks and heads of animals who struggle too hard to allow a clean cut. When the fur is finally peeled off over the animals' heads, their naked, bloody bodies are thrown onto a pile of those who have gone before them. Some are still alive, breathing in ragged gasps and blinking slowly. Some of the animals' hearts are still beating five to 10 minutes after they are skinned. One investigator recorded a skinned raccoon dog on the heap of carcasses who had enough strength to lift his bloodied head and stare into the camera.

Before they are skinned alive, animals are pulled from their cages and thrown to the ground; workers bludgeon them with metal rods or slam them on hard surfaces, causing broken bones and convulsions but not always immediate death. Animals watch helplessly as workers make their way down the row.

How sick can pple get?! Firstly skinning is already wrong, and HOW HARD IS IT TO B****Y KILL THE ANIMAL BEFORE SKINNING IT!? How would you feel if someone else is skinning you like that? Its just so heartbreaking!

Because a fur's origin can't be traced, anyone who wears any fur at all shares the blame for the horrific conditions on Chinese fur farms. The only way to prevent such unimaginable cruelty is never to wear any fur.

If your one small action of not buying fur could change this situation, would you stop? I would.

- THE FUNNEST PART! Heimlich Manouver was really harder than it seemed. The instructor was like push harder and I was pushing the hardest alr! Still nothing came out of the guys mouth, was dead by then alr. Then me and von was taking weird photos.

One standard drink contains 10gm of alcohol, common standard drinks are:
- One 287 ml pot or middy of beer
- One 120 ml glass of wine
- One 60 ml glass of sherry or port
- One 30 ml nip of spirits

Others are:
- One can of beer (375 mls) is 1.3 standard drinks
- One bottle of beer (700 mls) is 2.6 standard drinks
- One bottle of wine (750 mls) is 6 standard drinks

Safe drinking limits for men: no more than 3-4 standard drinks 3-4 times a week
Safe drinking limits for women: no more than 2-3 standard drinks 2-3 times a week

Woke up at 9am to go to sports planet to play futsal with coursemates. IT WAS SUPER FUN. Reaced sports planet at 10 only to realize it opens only at 11, so Me and Pat was driving JC's and Evonne's car around the area only to get banned from it, after one turn. Then Ali was using all the cars to drift, adrenaline rush was awesome. I wanna do it again!

Played futsal till 12.58pm (: HAPPINESS! Haha, its THE BOMB MAN! I cannot shoot, but it was fun, really really really good. Last match was a girl against guy match, we trashed the guys! (tho only cause they let us, but still..) Girls present was Christine, JC, Evonne and ME!

When Sakae again! This time with different pple, four of us spend a total of 109.60 plus tax. We are that good. Was suppose to watch step up 2 but time wasnt on our side. Biasness of the cinema. Ended up shopping and buying a tshirt (my size) from CATCH UP!
















I love today (: it's an indigo day!

When for a conference by Pastor Pat Mesiti about Biblical Economics. Just reached home half and hour ago. Before that had dinner at Von's house with her family and Patrik. *Dinner was GOOD.

Anyway, back to the conference, like dinner IT WAS GOOD! Totally worth the time. The feeling of going back to church and deciding to continue was so great. The feel you can get from CHC is just overwhelming.

PAT WAS AWESOME! like totally ;P He was amusing, funny and totally unboring. Kay, I know I've used a lot of totally's in the one short para, but who cares right!? *I dare you to say wrong.

To summarize, the 4 T's are : TIME, TALENT, TOUCH and TREASURE. So watch out grumpy! cause I'm gonna have all four!

Haven't done PCL, DEADline is tomorrow night and ps: i'm going futsal tmr morning and then catching step up 2 in the afternoon after possibly crashing vons place again. Going to try to attempt getting the work done now!

The Starfish Story

One day a man was walking along the beach when he noticed a boy picking something up and gently throwing it into the ocean.

Approaching the boy, he asked, “what are you doing?”

The youth replied, “Throwing the starfish back into the ocean. The surf is up and the tide is going out. If I don’t throw them back, they’ll die.”

“Son,” the man said, “don’t you realize there are miles and miles of beach and huundreds of starfish? You can’t make a difference!”

After listening politely, the boy bent down, pick up another starfish and threw it back into the surf. Then smiling at the man, he said “I made a difference for that one.”

It's true that one person can't really make a very big difference, but why should not being able to change the big picture stop you from actually putting in effort and attempting to make a change?

Doing something like what the little kid did may seem like a waste of time to some , its a never ending task, no matter how many you try to save, there will be some starfishes that will die, but from the other point of view, thanks to the little boys effort, more starfishes survived compared to if he decided to give up right from the start and not do anything.

SO EVEN IF IT SEEMS HOPELESS, TRY YOUR BEST TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE, EVEN IF IT'S ONLY TO ONE PERSON.
